I am particular about cutting with only scissors without using a cutter, even for two-fold and four-fold cut patterns.
It is also colorful and fun to make a tape about 1.5 cm wide with colored drawing paper and have a child cut it. If you ask your child to accept the conditions before cutting and then hand over the scissors, the rest will be easier.
